I was never talking about DoW2, I considered it a horrible abortion of a game for multiplayer. ;)

Been playing the beta here for a couple of games. I personally think it's fun as hell. I like all the new additions to the game pretty much.

I hope most of you at least try it out a bit before completely writing it off. I think just saying, "me likey dawn of war playstyle therefore me no likey Starcraft," is kind of stupid. I would at least give it a shot first.

Oh hi there Strawman.

At any rate, I never claimed "me no likey Starcraft." I claimed, "me already played Starcraft over 10 years ago," and that SC2 is doing nothing to advance the genre. If there end up being more than superficial and cosmetic changes, I would consider spending money on it.

A new sophisticated match making system combined with old starcraft is almost worth it enough for me. I understand where kesk is coming from and how he doesn't feel like playing something like the old SC. I definitely think it is going to be very similar, but I still enjoy the old SC immensely so it is very much worth the buy for me.

Despite its similarities, I think that the new battle net sounds like the best part of this game. They say it will be one of the most advanced matchmaking systems to date, but I suppose we shall see. Also, from the looks of Lath's video it looks like there is going to be endless possibilities on custom maps. Even if you are not a huge fan of ranked matches, there will be such variety in the custom realm that I'm sure everyone will find something to waste countless hours on.

Dunno if you care Tim, but your WoW account appears to be compromised. Unless you've been online the past few days dicking around in high level Northrend zones at level 70.

It has been happening lately. Jeff ran into a similar situation about two months ago.

Question 1: If someone is on my old WoW account, they can't somehow reactivate it with my old credit card can they?
Question 2: If I change my battle.net password does that change their password to log on to the game in WoW because I can't find where to change my WoW account password.

As for SC2, they need to freaking fix carriers to where they cant kite you and attack your units as they move. It is complete BS I have to throw tons of resources away and massively outnumber their carriers to do anything. In SC1 you had much better anti air alternatives I think. Vikings and phoenixes are useless as they get wiped out very quickly. Ravens are interesting because of seeker missiles but I can't rely on them alone. Battle cruisers get kited easily. I just don't feel like there are a lot of awesome options against carriers at the moment. I haven't gotten a chance to test out Zerg anti air properly, but at least a bunch of hydralisks tends to hold their own quite well.

From playing what I have so far with each race, it seems to me that zerg require the most micro, Especially using roaches.

You can wipe out a group with superior numbers if you micro correctly by alternating which roaches are burrowed and which are not. Not to mention, zerg seem to have the most units with special abilities this time.

I think Terran have been dumbed down the most in SC2. Old terran seemed to require a lot more brain power in order to control effectively where as zerg was the race that just swarmed. I think those two rolls have switched. Internet lingo will have to change from "let's zerg his team" to "let's terran his team".

And back to the Wow convo; Kesk, can you or someone else check and see if my account has been active in the last couple of months?

I think I changed all of my passwords, so keep me updated on if you see my character again kesk.

For those of you who do care about SC... there are torrent files out there to DL the game. Then just go to http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/sc2-tools/s ... -launcher/
and get that. You might have to search their forums for the most updated AI. They just came out with 6.1 which seems to be a little more difficult than 5.5.

your battle.net account IS your WoW account now since blizz merged the two ages ago. If you could change the password, you sir are luckier than i was...someone stole my account and tied an authenticator to it so i couldn't even log in to it anymore...was a pain to get it all restored. Also they won't need your old card to renew it, they can just put a 10 day trial code on it to play it...that's what they did to mine.

I would be unbelievably pissed if I lost my entire battle.net account. I guess I will consider myself lucky I was able to change the password. I put too many of my old games on that account to lose it and it is my only shot to get into freaking sc2 or d3 beta.
